I just came across some beautiful looking UPHOLSTERY MOHAIR, the mohair is Dense, Short Straight Pile, which I love, it looks & feels wonderful, but I won;t be able to be at my machine for another week to test it
{backing is thicker cotton then edinburgh mohair} I have a chance to purchase another LARGE pc. which I can dye to make other colors, but I need to know if it is Easy to Sew to Make Teddies????? if anyone has any input, I would surely appreciate!
thanks

I just thought of something, This is NOT the Mini Bear type Upholstery Mohair, it is longer than
1/8" but not quite 1/4" I have never seen this before.... that is why I am in such a Dilemma.... thanks for any Help
The problem with upholstery mohair is it's made to be durable to withstand the wear and tear on furniture. So the backing is thicker, stiffer and doesn't have the little bit of give needed to shape the roundness of your bear. You can certainly still use it, but keep in mind it's going to be more difficult to turn if you're making a small bear and the overall appearance of any bear will be thinner than usual. At very least I would reccomend washing the sizing out of it before you use it, if you do decide to buy it. Good luck!

Thanks so much for your help.... I am going to wait, use the little I have, I would rather
spend on mohair that I can really use & Not struggle.
