Well, I made this little lady for the Hugglets show on Sunday. The Schulte mohair was so soft and silky she absolutely had to be a girl, so I went all out to try and make her pretty, dainty, feminine ... my kids tease me all the time that my pink bears always look like boy bears in lace, so I was determined to prove them wrong ... and it worked ... well, almost! I wanted her to have a growler (all my big bears like to have a voice) so I punched a hole through the back and made a gold coloured rivet for the cord. Once she was made up I inserted the pull cord growler, closed her seam and ... oh my goodness! She's got such a deep throaty growl! She sounds like a grizzly from the wilds of Montana! It's a bit of a surprise coming from one so dainty!!!!
NOTE TO SELF: Listen to the growler before making the rivet hole in future!!!
She's gorgeous Paula....deep voice and all!!!!!
See you on Sunday!
Hugs Yvonne
She looks all girl, so sweet. I think her voice is OK. Girl bears in the wild have deep voices too. I've never heard a female bear sounding like Minnie Mouse anyway.
She is just assertive.
She really is very dainty to look at. I really like her.
Beautiful!!!
You've certainly achieved a feminine look with Tilly!!! What a gorgeous colour!!!
See you on Sunday!
She's beautiful and just think of Catherine Hepburn not a really high pitched voice there but whoa so feminine!!!She's a show stopper!! Great pink color!
Simply Lovely (as always)!
Paula she's lovely! As for her deep voice.... my two most feminine looking whippet girls have the most surprisingly deep voices!
Well, it's certainly good to hear this bear has achieved 'feminine'! The mohair is absolutely beautiful ... really silky. Thanks for your kind comments everyone .. I'll just have to remember to pick up some throat lozenges for her en route to the show!!
