The Hugglets 'Teddies 2007' show is just three weeks away and so currently I'm working hard to have my bears ready to exhibit. I couldn't resist adding a couple of clown bears to my repertoire bearing in mind our current TT challenge 'Bring on the clowns', so I decided to combine the TT challenge with my work for the show and 'Lotus Petal' is the outcome!
I wanted to create a clown bear based on the fabulous 1930's traditional harlequin bears, so I've kept her very classic and have incoporated a centre seam head and one piece arm styling. She also has cotton velvet paw pads for a little nostalgia. Lotus Petal is made from Intercal's 'ohsopretty' 370s/c mohair in a beautiful shell pink and turquoise, which have worked perfectly together. She has a satin ribbon ruff and vintage shell pink button detailing. At 20" she's quite an armful!

I haven't had a lot of time to post recently as I am doing my first bear fair in Norwich end of September and I only have 3 bears so far.I am hoping to go to Hugglets so I will see you and the bears there
