Okay, I know that can't be Braveheart!
I have no idea! Is it Mel Gibson saying it in a french accent??? Or some French dude saying it to Mel? tee-hee! Sounds like a crazy movie!
Is it "What Women Want"? I saw this just the other night and I seem to recall it with the dog....
Cheryl
A 90° turn for Eliza - Darren McGavin??
Right movie or going in another direction?
Is it "What Women Want"? I saw this just the other night and I seem to recall it with the dog....
Cheryl
Yeah! Cheryl you got it! The poodle says to Mel Gibson "Monsieur" I have to poop!
TAG..... Your it!
YAY me! I was starting to get a complex as we watch a lot of movies but I wasn't getting any of these....
Okay...I'm going to do a rather obscure one. My DH and I saw this rather bad movie years ago and the only thing we remember from it was this line which we use all the time:
"I wanna kiss you so bad right now, Dinky"
"Yeah...its good to want things"
I'll give you a hint: 80's movie...starred the darling of the 80's and early 90's movie world
Cheryl (also a HUGE John Cusack fan...yummy )
As soon as I'm online to play these I don't know any of them.. lol.
Hugs!
Melanie
Welcome Home Roxy Carmichael!!!!!!!!!!
I used to watch that movie all the time in my early teens! I was a big Winona Ryder fan, although she is 7 years older than me! That movie was hysterical and plain stupid all at the same time!
And Bobbie, I was referring to Randy Quaid. He played "Leroy" in Paper Moon and tried to wrestle Ryan O"Neil in a funny hillbilly scene when Ryan was trying to trade his car. Randy Quaid is also famous for that Chevy Chase Christmas movie National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation.
When Cheryl confirms my answer I'll give you guys a line... Been waiting forever for this!
I love the "subscribe to a topic" feature here on TT...I can keep working and play all at the same time!
  You're right Eliza!
Man, I didn't think anyone would get it. I used to love Winona Ryder too...although I only wish she was 7 years older than me! I watch "Heathers" everytime its on TV!
GO FOR IT ELIZA!
Cheryl
Cheryl,
I loved "Heathers" too! But my fave Winona Ryder flick was definitely Great Balls of Fire! I used to have Winona Ryder marathons with my friends! She was my fave teen actress....now after she stole she's kinda fallen off the face of the earth and her career went kaput.
Here is my line:
"I can hear the mice in the attic, stomping like elephants!"
Hey Eliza,
I've already had a go, but is this movie one with another 90's heart throb in his glory years- on the darker side?
I seem to recall it from one of hubby's favourite video picks....mind you I might be right off track here!
Mel
Was it Beetlejuice?
Nope, not Beetlejuice....
and yes, it is a dark movie with a heartthrob actor (who has a small role in this and who did a pretty bad acting job)
hint: this movie is perfect for Halloween...
who has a small role in this and who did a pretty bad acting job
LOL - then it can't be Play Misty For Me!!
One of my all-time fave S C A R Y movies!!!
Mel, what the heck do you do that you know all these?
I've been stumped for, like, the last four or five in a row.
A totally wild guess, based purely on the clues you gave (which have me thinking Johnny Depp for reasons I can't explain, other than gut), is Nightmare on Elm Street.
???
But really, this is a total stab in the dark, so if I get it right, I can only take half credit. However, I will be delighted to try to stump you with dialogue if I win this round!
Oh Shelli,
Before I had kids I used to see practically every thing that came out- now I get to see one every six months or so like I said before though if the quotes have anything to do with Nemo or "Cars" I've got it covered.
Oh by the way if anyone hasn't seen Ratatouille yet, go and see it, great animation, very sweet and awesome if you want to have a go at designing some rat buddies for your bears.
I haven't known all of these, just a few, but in regards to our current quote, I know this one because it is (for some reason) a blokes favourite and Andrew used to watch it quite often years ago.
I'll give you another hint to go with Eliza's though,
Nope, not Beetlejuice....
and yes, it is a dark movie with a heartthrob actor (who has a small role in this and who did a pretty bad acting job)
hint: this movie is perfect for Halloween...
our handsome hero has starred in one of the previous movie quotes- but he is wooden in this and he is not the "main" character.
It is funny how some things stick in your head, but I guess after you see it over 20 times, it will do that.
I can't wait for the next one! I think everyone will have to come back on board for answering so that the thread speeds up a bit, what do you guys think?
I would say Dracula by Coppola. A quote from Lucy when she has be bitten by Gary Oldman (not sure, I've seen this movie several times but in french :D).
Hugs !
You win Marion!! Bram Stoker's Dracula! Yes, it is said by Lucy as she's turning into a vampire and all her senses are coming alive.
The bad acting job by the heartthrob is none other than Keanu Reeves.
Also this stars Winona Ryder, who I said was my fave actress back in the day!
Your turn, Marion!
Oops... My turn... I'm coming back in a little moment... I just have to find a quote in english... That won't be too long (I hope :D) ;).
Hugs Jane.
"-What are you going to do ?
-I'm gonna do the best I can "
edit : the characters are singing if it can help ;).
Hugs !
So this is a musical?
Rocky Horror Picture Show???  ...sorry, I know, I shouldn't be having another turn, but I'm just dying to jump in!!! Ever since this thread started, I've got so many cool new quotes to try out.
And Jane didn't get a chance. Maybe we can bump this up, and let Jane have a try at the same time? See? Then if we don't get one, we can try another!
Lord what a monster you've created Roxanne
Do you think me handsome? No sir........
Hugs Jane.
