or in this case, "Lovecrow"

My daughter Rachel came home from school with a note in her bag that there was a scare crow contest open to the whole public  sponsored by a shop called Garden Angels....so I thought it would be a fun project to work on together.

This is our first scare crow and we named it LOVE CROW because it is a mother and child.  The scarecrows were all set up in a field where a path was mowed.  It was really neat to see all the scare crows.  I have a few photos to share.

Here is our "LOVECROW" and she won second place!

This next scarecrow display called "Scaredy Pants" won third place.

And this scarecrow called, "Plastic Man" won first place.  It was really cool and original.  It looked as if someone had made a mold of a person by wrapping them in plastic tape.  It deserved first place.

There were over 30 scarecrows in all.  Some were made by groups of people, schools, or individuals.  Here are few that I liked:

Rotten Head:

Can't remember this one's name but I liked it:

And this one was made by a school class room:

Do any of you have scarecrows in your yard?
