I have 2 questions about Cat Ears:

How do you get your cat ears soooooooooo nice and pointy at the top??? 

What material do you use for the inside?

'Grading' the seam allowances plays a large part as does trimming out those seam allowances in nice wide wedges. There should ne no material inside the tip when turned.

Grade Seam - trim one layer of the seam allowance shorter then the other layer to eliminate bulk. For example: a facing seam allowance would be trimmed shorter on facing part of the allowance and longer on the body seam allowance.

Jane, I find it is helpful on corners (or points) if I also decrease the stitch length to very small stitches (I use 1.0 or a little larger) about 1/4" before and after the corner point and do 1-3 stitches on a diagonal at the corner point.  Grade and trim as Bobbie said, and I use Fray Check if I'm worried about raveling at the seam.

For inner fabrics, I have seen same mohair as rest of cat, different mohair from rest of cat, felt, suede cloth, and patterned cotton.  I think anything you like and can turn for a nice point would work.  I am also working on a cat and will probably use different mohair for the inner ears of this cat.  I think it depends on the look you're after.

Any expert cat people with more tips?

No expert here....but, I use ultra suede as the lining for the inside of my cat and bunny ears.
