kleine-muis.jpgHi Friends,
I have a problem bear_cry ,
I always make the hair wich is near the mouth of a mouse( have no idea how it is named in english), from quilt threat.
I do not have it anymore, and the shop who sells it, is closed.
Does anyone have a great idea, where I can make those hairs from??
Maybe some one has a great tip for me,.
Thank you so much.

Hi Chrissie
Those hairs are call whiskers (on cats TOO) I use, when I want them to be droopy or when I do not have the whiskers that you can buy in craft stores, embroider thread. The kind that is one thread only and it is not as thing ad the embroidery floss.
I hope it helps.

Horse hair works great for whiskers.

Fine fishing line also works well

I agree with Patsy on the fishing line - good thinking!

There is also surely something used for beading that would be suitable too.  Do you have any beading shops locally?  Or even a good craft shop might have rolls of something in the beading section.

Hi dear friends,
Oh you helped me a lot.
Thanks so much.
Horsehair, is a good option I guess, because I need black whiskers.
fishing line is always translucent,I think.
What a fine group we have, I really appreciate you're help.

Christine. maybe a thread of embroidery thread waxed may work as well. Just a thought. I use horse hair myself.
Which was given to me by a fellow TT'er.  Just holla if you would like some.

Hi Matilda bear_flower ,
Thank, that is so sweet of you.
My husband has a colleague and he has 2 horses.
Today he would give Eric a bunch.
