A Cluttered Desk Is...
About a week ago, I came across an Internet advice column
that told me how to eliminate the paperwork clutter on my
desk.GREAT!
So I printed out the FIVE pages of how-to instructions and
placed them on top of the rest of the stuff on my desk. Now
I can't find them.

Creative Design Studio (RKR4CDS)Sorry to continue more of this drivel, but DH forwarded this, and it was too perfect a follow-up not to post. He's had his hearing checked and it's actually a bit better than mine. Which proves that it's Selective Listening on his part, though I will cut him some slack in that, in the past 30 years, the amount of ambient noise has increased. The house used to be silent except for voices.
Now, the background noise overshadows someone speaking, sometimes even in the same room: any or all of these can be on at the same time; TVs, radios, dishwashers, cooking noises, iPods, computer sounds, etc...

A husband looking through the paper came upon a study that
said women use more words than men.
It read, "Men use about 15,000 words per day, but women use
30,000."
Excited to prove to his wife that he had been right all
along when he accused her of talking too much, he showed her
the study results.
The wife thought for a while, then finally she said to her
husband, "It's because we have to repeat everything we say."
The husband said, "What?"
I am so upset about always having to repeat myself, and never remember to get his attention first by saying "Don?" that half the time I don't bother to repeat what I had to say. It cuts out a lot of the 'conversation' that we had when we were younger, but then maybe it too is just drivel !!!
