grey-bear.jpgA total change for me.  I worked this head pattern over and over and over til I was sick of it!  I finished the bear yesterday and didn't like her until I put the collar on her last night.  Now she is growing on my with her very big head and little arms and legs!  Hope you like her!!!
The color is way off.  She is a soft hand-dyed grey - not near as purple-ish as the photo!

OK, that last photo couldn't be more horrible.  This one is a little better for color..............

Connie, I think she's lovely!  I really like the big head on the smaller body/limbs .. it has a slightly animish flavour, without looking like a cartoon ... in fact the early English bears' proportions worked in a similar way.  Got to confess to really liking the purple colour too, even if the camera was playing tricks on you!

Connie, I am absolutely in love with this bear.  If I had the money, I would buy her in a heartbeat !  Well done.  It was worth the time spent on the head.    I hope things are going o.k. for you and your sons.

Thanks, everyone.  This bear was a departure for me.  I had never tried the anime style and wanted to give it a go.  So now I have!  It was fun to make.   I appreciate all your comments.

Yes she does, Cat, but only to the crown.  This is a very different pattern for the head - a back and 4 front pieces.
