Here's an idea that I had while I was sleeping last night.  After the Thanksgiving Day Parade on my Blog, I'd love to organize an Online Blog Christmas Cookie Recipe Swap (I'll call it something a bit more interesting - I just woke up for goodness sakes - LOL!).  It would start at my Blog with my recipe and then I'd have a link to the next Blog which would be let's say Daphne's with a fabulous Recipe, and then she'd have a link to Laura Lynn's with a fabulous recipe, etc., etc.  People without Blogs could participate too by just having a link to the next person's Blog/website and it would also be a great way for people to become familiar with your work (if they are not already).  Anyway, sort of like one of those traveling Christmas Open House Dinners where people have a different course at each person's house and get to see their decorations in the process.  We're doing the same with Cookie Recipes and bears.

So, anyone interested?

P.S.  Did I make you hungry yet???

Hugs,
LIsa

So my brain finally got working after I had some breakfast and I thought about this Christmas Cookie Recipe Swap a little more.  I named it the Christmas Cookie Recipe Round-up and I give all the details in today's Blog post - http://qdpatooties.blogspot.com/2007/11 … nd-up.html.

And not to mention Daphne again but both the Thanksgiving Day Parade that I'm sponsoring as well as this Cookie Recipe Swap are just ways for people to see your work and to get the word out about Artist Bears as she challenged us to to do earlier in the year.  I want to bring as much attention to our Industry as possible because that's what we all really want isn't it?  For people to see our work and all the imagination and effort we put into it as artists!

So think about your favorite cookies, join in and show off your latest work at the same time!

Well, you got me at "cookie recipe"....I'm all ears now....But I don't have a blog so how do I post a recipe again. I don't quit understand. Can I send my recipe to somebody how has a blog and they post it?

Hmm.  You don't have a website either?  Well if you don't have a website or a Blog you can just send me a recipe and I'll post it for you if you want to participate that way.  I just thought we could make it a "two-fer" and show off our latest bears at the same time!

I know all this cookie talk is making me hungry!

Good Grief, Lisa. I've always wondered if you ever slept because you are always doing something, many things, all the time. Now I know that you continue to think up things when you do sleep. You exhaust me just trying to keep up with your ideas.

But, okay, I'll play too.

Website or Blogs it doesn't matter.  As long as you can post a recipe there and then a link to the next person's website/Blog it should work.  I'm not sure about MySpace though...

No, it's just a recipe!  The only cookies that will be exchanged will be those that exist in cyberspace - LOL!

So think of your favorite recipe, even if you haven't baked in a gazillion years, and just post it on your Blog.  Then people will go from Blog to Blog collecting recipes, looking at bears, and the first one back to me with the names of all those recipes will get a prize.  Sound fun?

So far these are the people I have participating in the Cookie Swap.  I'm just trying to make a list so I can give each person the link to the next person's blog that they should post along with their recipe on December 7th.

Me
Laura Lynn
Daphne
Marlys
Tammy Beckoning Bears
Tami DollsnDreams
Chrissi
Nancy D.
Cream Brulee
Crafty Carolinagirl

Anyone else?  It's not to late as you have until December 5th to sign up.  I just want to make sure I have a list and links for all the people who want to participate.  Jenn, I'm not sure how to link from a MySpace Blog.  If you can, we'd love to have you.  And if you don't have a Blog/Website, just E-mail me with your Recipe and I'll write it up under my post with your name and Business Name attached (with a link to your E-mail if you wish).  It would be cute if you don't have either if you could take a pic of your bear with a cookie and send it in.  That way, people will get to peek at your work too!

Thanks for listening to my crazy ideas!  Hugs!

Are you suppose to post a picture of the cookies or just the recipe?

Just the recipe.  You don't actually have to make them and snap a pic or anything.  Just the recipe and then the link to the next person's recipe.

Last call for people wanting to participate in the online Christmas Cookie Recipe Round-up!  I'll probably be assigning links sometime this weekend because December 7th (the day we all post them) is coming up!!!

If you want to read about the Recipe Swap, you can follow this link:

http://qdpatooties.blogspot.com/2007/11 … nd-up.html

And if you want to participate, just grab the graphic and put it on your website/blog (if you want to that is!) and then send me an E-mail with Cookie Swap as the header along with the link you'd like people to use (your Website or Blog) to view your recipe!

P.S.  If you have a recipe and want to participate but don't have a website or Blog, just send me or someone who is participating the recipe and we'll post it on our Blog with your name.

P.S.S.  If you don't bake at all and want to participate, try to get a recipe from a family member or friend who does and post it on your Blog/Website.

TOTALLY agree! You've got too much zip for a Mom of 3 pre-schoolers! Their school(s) is(are) going to Love you - cuz you'll be running everything for a few years!!!!

We  can only imagine what all you'd be up to if you didn't have those 4 anchors holding you back!! (I included your DH for the days that he might be a big baby too.... No Offense meant, Mr Lisa!)
