For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Wow, this one almost got me. Actually had my eBay user id and the title and correct item number included in the email...........good for me that I never answer any questions from an ebay member through my email, but instead go to my eBay to do it. (I was half asleep and didn't even notice my NAME wasn't included....duh! )Went to my eBay, and guess what? No message!! I wasn't too surprised.......the question in the message was a bit odd anyway.
These people just never stop, do they?
I tried to forward this to eBay, but can't seem to find the place to do it on the site (click on the right link, and I get redirected to FAQ
). Do they not want reports of things like this anymore? Below is a copy of the email I received.......it also had all the right graphics which I can't copy here.

Tracy , you can just forward the email to spoof@ebay.com, that's the address I have always used
big hugs
Shane
Those big ZERO - ZEROs in the % and Feedback should be a first tip-off!!!
Yes, it's always spoof@ebay.com or spoof@paypal.com
I do wonder though, if they don't all just go into a digital circular file in cyberspace as we get just those auto-responses, and that they'e just doing a CTA job with them..........
The unusual spaces in between words is an even bigger tip-off that this is fake. They are trying to get past filters with that trick. I'm afraid nothing gets past me, but I know all their tricks and I'm a born cynic.
Cheers,
Kelly
Thanks for that tip, Kelly! The more informed we are the better.
Thanks for the proper email you guys......don't know what's up with the ebay site, but I kept getting redirected somewhere else. I'll forward it on to them ASAP.
I wish I could show you the original email with the graphics in place.......the spaces weren't noticable to me at all until I copied and pasted it here.......weird! Course I was half asleep, so things I may usually notice slipped right past me. But it was the best fake I've seen yet I think a good lesson here is to never, ever respond to any eBay messages from your email........that's what saved my bacon this morning as I went to my eBay instead. Thank goodness!
I don't know about the 0 feedback- the thing that screamed out to me was why on earth would someone ask a US seller if they would ship to New Jersey?
I had someone recently email my bidders telling them they were me- and asking how much they were willing to pay for the bear- presumably so they could 'end' the auction and 'sell' to them. Fortunately she didn't fall for it but it has me seriously considering private auctions.
Good to see your on your feet!!! LOL
thats great, yelp never answer any email unless it is listed in your message folder on My Ebay!!!
