I don't usually have complaints against eBay, taking it with a shaker-full of salt because that's how the marketplace is.

I've been away from it for 3 weeks: can it have changed that much????

I cannot find my listing from last night (only if I do Advanced Search by Item #) though the listings from today already have filled a few pages. This must be the one, busiest weekend in the year—everyone is listing.
But, has this changed so much?? Category #3904 was for miniature teddy bears. For the most part these were artist-made OOAK minis.

I stopped looking past page 25.... There was everything that could possibly have the word 'bear' included. There used to be about 12 pages and only 3 for Needle Felting...
And So Sloooooooow for even our broadband. I kept getting Error pages when I tried to go back to the Listings pages after clicking on a bear. Hopefully these are collectors & (Christmas) shoppers!

And is Activa now an eBay company now? This is now on my listing (and every listing that has had a revision): the slideshow inserted and positioned automatically at the text end. I didn't ask for this and don't want this but there's no way I can see to eliminate it!! They look very silly when there's only one item on view!

If anyone has seen my auction, I shall reward them handsomely from my stash of Goodies! I'll not give the number - it WILL pop up then - but just say that it's my TB&F creation for The 12 Days of Christmas.

Just sign me Scrooge/Grinch.. it's personal issues that I'm sure have skewed my viewpoint.

Hi Bobbie!

When I click on your ebay button it takes me to your seller's page, which is empty currently.  Now, I think if you tried to do revisions it can and almost always puts you back into that "8 hour -systems updating" cycle where your listing can not be viewed by the public....especially if you did one or more revisions before your listing was made public.  At least that happened to me once before.  I waited for 6 hours for my listing to show and while waiting did a revision, for like a typo or something silly.  It put me back to waiting another 8 hours for the listing to show...which was 14 hours total of waiting to go public  bear_rolleyes .  Live chat says it happens and since your paying for the right to list, not the amount of time listed it's just how it is.

Hey it's there now!!  Minutes later and when I click on your ebay link it's there....Looking very lovely I must say bear_flower

eidted to say:  I beleive category #3904 is OOAK Artist bears....all bears, minis, and friends.  I'm trying to think back, but I think it's always been that way. (???)  But I do agree that it's filling up with some pretty questionable things anymore.  Yes, they might be artisan works, but by no means bear or even bear/friends related. The worst are the non artisan pieces that are out there, lots of manufactured things sneaking in.

That totally explains it. Thx, Chrissi!!
Yep, I replaced an image that would not resize down to 550 pixels, no matter what I did. And the first one messed up my template.

I felt like I've never seen a computer before yesterday! Nothing was going right. And of course, as I knew it would happen, as soon as I posted here, they put up 2 more pages of items, re-dating mine to reflect the revision.

Now Activa... I'm going to be ABSOLUTELY sure that I'm letter-perfect in future. I don't intend to advertise them for free!
Thx again, Chrissi—I can relax now..

Yep - I saw it, too.  I just clicked the ebay button under your avatar.  Great goose!!

Side note:  Bobbie uses a Mac . . . see Chrissi's name in the last line above?  Same gobbledegook symbols that were in Dilu's address list.

Sue Ann, can you post a screen shot of the Goobledegook? I saw that post by DiLu this AM but had no idea what it was all about. I blame everything these days to being on good drugs....

Mac, Yes - Good memory!! But what are we Mac users missing??
Or are we inadvertently creating it?

"Thx again, Chrissi—I can relax now.."

Those little wierd characters in Chrissi's name are what comes through every now and then from someone using a MAC.  That's what people were talking about in Dilu's Christmas card list.  I guess only PC users can see them, but they pop up on here periodically from any MAC user.

I just listed oodles of mohair on eBay (anyone need some??) and loved this little disclaimer they now have at the bottom of the listing page. (Mind you it's been AGES since I've listed on eBay!!)

" Your listing will be posted on the eBay site and can be viewed in My eBay. Your listing may not be immediately searchable by keyword or category for several hours, so eBay cannot guarantee exact listing durations in search results.

By clicking the List your item button, you agree to pay the fees above, accepting the listing conditions above, and assume full responsibility for the content of the listing and item offered. "

Oh, Yes! And a whole lot more!! I went over their site w/that fine-toothed comb, before Chrissi gave me the same answer at the same time...
I learned a whole lot more than was 'pleasant' to learn, but best of all - there is now some way to Contact someone! They used to make you practically drive out to see someone in person in San Jose (hdqtrs) and then claim "it was handled in FL." Or MN....
