Hi everyone, I was playing with my new camera, I love it!!! I got the Canon Rebel XTI as an anniversary present, along with some pro lighting! I was playing around with the new set up and didn't have anything done to take pictures of, so took some of my collection from a couple of TT'ers here Wendy and Marion, I will be taking the others I have as well to catolouge my collection....so here are Wendy's platy, and Marion's (MerBear) adorable bear...If you would like these pictures ladies just send me an email and I will email the originals to you. Still some tweaking left to go!
Hugs,
Krista
Great pictures, Krista!
WOW - I didn't realize my bear looked that great! Yes please - I'd love to have a copy of that pic.
I've been looking into getting a new camera and particularly this particular one - does the SLR camera have a high learning curve?
Marion
He is gorgeous Marion!!! The camera is pretty easy, I just read the manual and played with all the settings...it took me about 600 practice shots before I could get the adjusting right, and good lights of course, but other than that it is very user friendly...I will email the pic shortly
Hugs,
Krista
What type of lights did you get Krista - and where from? I really need to look into lighting, especially now that I am photographing beads - bears aren't too bad, but beads are a royal pain!
Forgot to say - great pics!
Thanks everyone, Marion I will get your pictures off to you this morning, just had my computer reloaded so they are on hubbies computer.
Jane I picked up a kit of two lights Made by a company called Cameron, the kit came with two refelctors, 2 sockets, 2-75 watt daylight bulbs, and two 8' stands...all for under $300.00. I purchased them at the local camera store called Lens and Shutter, I think they also have online ordering http://www.lensandshutter.com/ although I can't find my light set on there, it may have just been an instore special?
Hope this helps.
Hugs,
Krista
Thanks for the info on the lights Krista.
