Now be are buying a house, we can afford new pieces of furnitures.
So we decided to visit very often the second hand shop nearby.
Today, we made there great deals, for sure!
So : a great sewing machine : a very old one (from between end of 1945 and 1966), a MIP one, in its piece of furniture (in walnut wood).
The sewing machine is working perfectly. The price was very cheap.
I was searching a cabinet for my teddy bear and found a small one for a good price. We removed the wooden shelves : we will put some glass shelves instead. It is 146 cm high, 26 cm deep.
Needless to say how much I am happy!
We bought an air extractor for our cooker too.
The only problem is that there is no room left for them all in our flat... So they lay in the middle of the way until we find where to put them until april when we move.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
You sound very excited Sophie. Is it true most people rent in France rather than buy? I've just finished a year long renovation on a small 1939 house. Its lovely making the house of your dreams.
Those are some great finds, it is so much fun to look for these things, lucky you!
Well done Sophie they are great finds, I love both piece's
Oooh, those are lovely finds Sophie  Now comes the truly fun and exciting part....finding all the furniture that will go in your home. Be sure to wait a bit, though, or you and Malko will be wedged in with your furniture

Congrats on your new house! This must be such an exciting time for you, the furniture is lovely.
