I just wanted to pop in to say hello to everyone!!!
I know I haven't been around this past week at ALL. I usually at least pop in a little here and there.
I've been wanting to add a Chihuahua to our family for a couple of years and now hubby is in accord too. We found the perfect little Chi for our family in rescue - and are now waiting to hear if we've been approved.
We've been approved as far as our vet interview and our personal reference... we just have to wait for the home visit. We got to go and meet her yesterday... she's SUCH a little cutie!
So I've been working on orders.. and my computer time has been spent looking at chihuahuas in rescue.
OH Laura Lynn, that is so exciting! You must be beside yourself waiting right now! I can't wait to see pictures of the new addition!
Hugs,
Krista
You are so lucky you found one Laura Lynn. I scurried to adopt a Pom after I lost Tocky but many of the Rescues won't let Poms (or any small dog for that matter) to homes with children under the age of 6. It is sad because I think I could have given a rescue a really good home.
Oh, hey in our paper a couple days ago they were talking about a local Greyhound rescue group and I thought of you and your Whippets. I was OH so tempted to give them a ring!!!
Maybe when the girls turn 6!
Anyway, congrats on finding one and biggest hugs to you for helping out Rescues!
It is always exciting to add a new fur baby to your home! Hope everything works out!
Yes, Laura, it's always fun to add a new family member. We've talked about Chihuahuas, too, but still just talking. I think I'd probably take one of every kind of dog if I could. Hope you get good news soon.
Laura that it wonderful that you have found a Chi to take in. I am sure you will pass all the tests to get it, I will keep everything crossed for you.
LOL, they're definitely going to be in the Mutt & Geoff category, with your other long-legged beauties!!
      That little baby will appreciate your choosing him/her.
Good to hear from you Laura, I was a bit worried.
Thanks everyone!
We've been approved!!!! She was spayed today, so we can pick her up from her foster mommy on Sunday... I am SO excited!!
Here's a picture:

I just want to kiss that nose and whisper sweet nothings in those ears!!! Love that spot on her forehead!
She's a beauty - lucky you!
Ohhh what a sweetie
Congradulations Patsy she is just beautiful.

What a cutie Laura Lynn! A great addition to the Whippets!!!
Oh yeah, maybe I missed this one - what's her name???
Aww thanks! And Lisa, no, it was ME who missed that one
Her name is Sequoya. This time I think we'll probably keep her original name. It seems to fit her
Congratulations, Laura. What fun to have another dog in the house. She's a pretty little lady and I'm sure she'll be thrilled to get to her forever home on Sunday...if you can wait that long.
Awweee, what a sweet baby!! Congrats! She is so cuuuuute!
Hugs!
Melanie
Awwwhhh, she's a pretty little thing Congratulations on adding a new furbaby to your home!! :bday:
Thanks so much!! And Marlys... it's a little hard to wait -- but I'll manage. She's recovering from the spay and I'm always a basket case those first few days after the surgery... so it's a good thing I have to wait!
how exciting! she's so cute! and I love that you rescued her!
