Kim, that's fantastic news! A little bubby girl  bear_wub

I'm so excited for you - it'd be great to live in a house full of girls! I live with 3 boys in my life instead!

My husband is trying to persuade me to have a 3rd....I just worry that the 3rd will be like my second...a bit of a nightmare!! He's a real boy and gets up to EVERTHING - you have to have eyes in the back of your head and he's real hard work compared to my eldest, James. Hmm, maybe I might be persuaded with more flowers and choccies....

Congrats to you!  When my hubby found out that the twins were going to be girls instead of boys as originally thought, he almost cried right there in the Doctor's office.  I have to hand it to my Doctor though.  He noticed his response and came out with "Oh, get over it and buy a male dog!"

Ha!

Congrats again!

When they are born it doesn't matter but short term we are only human to have a preference. I wanted a girl, and got one. Hubby wanted a boy and guess what....yes she is the biggest 'Dad' fan out. They are very close.

On the point of trying again...no not me....my auntie had boys and always wanted a girl, then on her seventh go (her words, not mine) she got her girl. She was and still is mad about babies. Lynn is 18 now and the boys have all turned out good lads. My uncle died young but all the family kept auntie going. People can sometimes pass comments about large families now, but all the ones I know are close. I was always to lazy to have more than one. bear_tongue

I breat fed both of mine too - James until he was 7.5 months and William till he was 7 months - I wanted to feed them both for a year but although I produced MASSES of milk with both of them, when each of them got to about 6.5 months old it started to dry up.....I cried and cried when I had to stop with both of them - felt a complete failure! And yes, my husband makes fun of my boobs too - only yesterday morning he said to James 'do you think mummy could tuck her boobies into her knickers if she tried'!!! They're not THAT bad but they're certainly not as pert as they used to be!   bear_ermm

Stu's response to that would be 'what nookie???'......Yep, I find having small children the BEST contraceptive around! LOL
It IS too easy for them! I said to Stu that he wouldn't be the one at home looking after the children (he'd have 10 of them if it were his choice!) but he still can't understand it! Don't get me wrong, I love being a stay at home mum but I have days when I just want to go and do something for myself without the involvement of children! I'm sure most mums feel like this too.

'do you think mummy could tuck her boobies into her knickers if she tried'

hahaha, they are buggers, iv also had similar jokes from simon!!!
well, done on the breast feeding, i did katie untill she was 9.5 months and i found it hard to stop, with evie i felt i had to do the same though i did suffer through, cracked bleeding nipplets!! but i was determined and i managed in the end, even though i was constantly told to give up and give her a bottle.
my trouble is im lazy and couldnt be bothered going downstairs at night to warm up bottles, and now new mums are being told to make bottles as you need them and not keep them in the fridge and warm them up..
... no thank u... all that bottle washing, sterilsing and wat not, its easier just to wip one out!
well on the nookie front...
(shield innocent eyes!)    .... wont be much longer before my hubby can tuck his doo-dahs into his socks!!!!!!

Hi Kim,
Well done you, could only produce boys. But after 3 of them gave up. One day I might be blessed with a granddaughter.

  Congratulations Kim!  I am envious.......I always wanted a little girl.  Love my two boys to bits, but a girl would be nice too.  As it is, I'm totally outnumbered by the males in this house!  No plans for us to try for another..... but I've been thinking of bugging Darren again about adoption.  Of an older child in foster care who needs a family.....I think of that a lot!  His argument before was based on how much it costs per child to raise them (thinks we can't afford it bear_wacko ).......to my mind, one more child is not going to break the bank (there's always room for one more), and the benefits to all of us would more than make up for a bit less spending cash. bear_wub

Kim How wonderful is that!  The dr is 90% sure its a boy for us but hopefully they will confirm today.  I have one niece and another on the way so I will be spoiling them for sure.

A little girl yea! Great news Kim
I'm the 2nd of 4 girls...and always felt sorry for my dad living with 5 women! I don't think he minded really...He's now 85 and loves it when we all go home to visit. My son Jack was the first boy in my Mum's  family for 65 years! .....and they adore him of course!
Hugs Lynne
