These Alpaca animals , goats? are on the farm where I buy my alpaca roving. It is one of the nicest roving's that I have felted with.
When I collected a new order for my shop we went to the farm. I was given a tour round the factory and shown all the various processes the fleece is put through. They had the most divine black/brown mix that had just come out of the washer.
They also explained that depending where it is taken from you will get a different type of fleece. The fleece taken from the lower legs is much coarser than from the back.
Of course my grandson was fascinated with the animals .
