I think it would be wonderful to see all of the entries that were sent in and overlooked this time, like was done for the Toby entries. I am sure they are all nomination worthy and deserve some recognition on here too. I still wouldn't want the judges job

I had two entries in the miniature categories (dressed and undressed) neither of which made the cut this year. Here they are.
It's funny, you just never know what will appeal to the judges and what other competition you are up against as I really feel this ballerina is much better and more appealing than my last year's dressed entry (also a ballerina but quite different) that was nominated in both GT and Toby!

Edie - your little bears have enormous charm.......and I so agree with you - you just never know what the judges will go for - I entered a piece in the Golden Teddys last year - ZILCH, and then a couple of months later the same piece won a Golden George.............

Edie, your ballerina is amazing! As you say, it's impossible to predict what will work for the judges from one year to another. I only entered one bear this time and thought I'd take a chance with my favourite, very classic big bear design, but it wasn't to be for 'Gorgeous George' this time.

Wow, go figure why they weren't chosen ! Edie , both of your entries are stunning. I especially love the expression on the Malik's Face. They are winners in my eyes ! Paul , I think George is one of the most beautiful bears I have ever seen. He is perfect and such a gorgeous color. Wow. They are absolute winners in my eyes for sure !

Goodness, these competitions are such a lottery and it all comes down to the personal tase of the judges on the day. Paula, your bear is scrummy - and Edie, I LOVE your ballerina!!

Its just like the others have said, its totally down to the judges' whim on that particular day :hug: Please don't feel disheartened, I know its hard not to (been through the same feelings myself) but there really is absolutely nothing wrong with your entry :hug:
As for the others ~ Wowza ladies!!! :clap: :clap: :clap: Edie your creations are wonderful ~ I love the pose for the ballerina! How tricky that must've been to create. And Paula, your big fella is so perfect for hugs!!! Handsome boy!
WoW you guys! all of these are amazing creations! I would not wanted to have to judge that's for sure! You are all winners, and it must have been so hard to chose from them all!

LuxembearsHi. I agree with Christine...it all boils down to personal preference of the judges....and it varies from contest to contest. I don't know how the judges are selected or if they change them around from year to year but I have noticed certain trends between the TOBYS and Golden Teddys.
Edie, your Ballerina is precious. She looks like she took quite a lot of work.
Paula, your bears are truly Teddy Bears and ever so adorable.
Chloe, your sloth is unique and shows your talent.
Here's my King Tut. He was not chosen in either the TOBY or the GT. His costuming took me forever to create. Oh well...he looks really nice in my glass cabinet. 
A huge cogratulations to everyone, all the bears and critters are just wonderful. Unfortunately my two entries didn't make it either, here they are.
Bears by EdieKim, your entries are just so FABULOUS it is hard to understand how either one of them could not have been selected - you'd have had my vote for sure!!!
Paula, your bear looks perfect so no fault of his not to be picked!
Chloe, your sloth is wonderful - don't see how you could have done any better - must have been stiff competition!
Judi, your King Tut is very impressive and looks like he WAS a lot of work - again must have been really stiff competition in that category!
This really makes me feel a lot better about not getting a nomination when I see all these fabulous entries that also were not chosen this year!
