My brother-in-law Fred sent me these pix.
Believe it or not, these are skirts painted to look like no skirt. :/
Fred claims that this fashion statement is all the rage in Japan, right now--Marie and Takeko, tell me it isn't true!!

That's so funny,I'd call the hubby to come see but now I won't bother after the peacock incident.Serve him right!!
Shari ~ You're cruel! (I love it!)
I saw some similarly painted t-shirts in New Orleans a few years back. Took me by surprise they looked so ... well you know ... just like those skirts.
are they for real ? have to get me one of them
Eeewwwww! That's fashion?! Jenn
Oh no Eileen, I never saw such scarts in here  .... What is going on !?
Umm LOL OKAY! Makes me wonder!
Danni
Eileen...I think you should change the 't' in the middle of the word 'artist' in your title for an 's'...
I think these are photographs printed on to fabric maybe?
I'm going to get one anyway...do they do them in a size 16? Imagine that...it would be a pretty horrible sight!!!!!!
Jenny
Ha, Ha Ha! Now that's really getting to the bottom of things. You folks just crack me up with your funny pictures.
Butt they're ugly don't you think!
Now me in one of those skirts...Nah! I think not.
Jane.
Jenny and Jane! I wish I'd thought of those bon mots, but then maybe I'd have been censored?
Marie, I'm so glad you've never seen one of these skirts . . . I'm going to tell my brother in law that when they show up in his local Walmart, he can't blame Japan!!
Eileen
They are certainly attention getters! but not the kind of attention that I would want!
I'm with you. I think they're yukky and tacky. Bleech!
Yucky, tacky, ugly, stupid, and just the sort of thing 12-year old girls might want. I'm glad mine are grown up, sort of.
Eileen
if you were going to buy a skirt with a painted on butt, wouldn't you pick one with terrific cheeks and [INVALID] undies rather than scrunched up granny panties?
;)
g
LOL - I second this one...If I want a skirt with a tush painted on it, I want one that looks BETTER than mine - and what is with the granny panties LOL oh my! I saw this on tv also... I cant remember what it was about... I thought the skirts were "see through" but I guess not... wouldnt wear granny panties if they were see-through right?
Would my bum look big in one though??!! Could be the answer to my prayers!!!
Imagine the looks we would get....
I heard about these too. They aren't real. At least no-one is really walking around like that anyway. Can't remember the details though.
Heather
Hey , and just what's wrong with grannie panties? I love 'em...but then I'm a grannie...and I also hate those disappearing ones..you know where I'm coming from!!
Jenny
I wear hiphugger panties - but then I'm not a granny!!
I'm not, and I do.
I had no idea they were called granny panties. I thought they were just normal panties.
The little scraps of elastic and lace my daughters call panties make the flesh creep!!
Eileen
I don't think we call them granny panties here...I think they're called
' big knickers'. Whatever unromantic description they give 'em...I'd sooner put up with the humiliation of admitting to wearing them..than put up with the discomfort of the 'thong'.
As my mother says, they are as much use as a chocolate coffee pot.
Anyway..I don't go in for really big knickers...just the sensible ones!!!!
He-he!!!
All I have to say is....EWWWWWWWWWWWW!!!
knickers I love that word! I dont wear granny knickers LOL
