duckie.jpgHave you ever heard of it? I used my handmade soap, and covered it with the roving wool. I also too some advise and added it to an Etsy shop. It was a great project and fairly easy to do.
This is my Etsy shop.

What a great idea!!
Have you used it with the felted wool around it? Just wondering if it turns into a nice soft scrubby.
Course, I'd never use it... it's too pretty!  bear_flower

Roxanne,
Cute ducky soap!
Felted soap is wonderful... soap and a washrag in one!  Felted soap is a fun easy project.  The kids and I make them together and they give them as handmade gifts.

Thanks, But I cant take credit for this idea.
It has been around for some time now. I found the technique while searching on the internet.

Yes, as the soap shrinks, the wool around it slightly shrinks down too. When the soap is gone you have a little scrubby to use.

That's a really great idea. I must not be very observant because I've never noticed your Sweet Southern Soaps and Sweet Southern Delights websites. You must be a very busy girl to do all that and make bears.

felted-soaps005b.jpgThose are very cute Roxanne!
I made the felted soaps shown above last fall for a show I did & people loved them. I used some of the goat milk soap I used to make.

These are beautiful! I'd hate to use them.

There is a lady that makes and sells these (not as pretty as y'alls) in Backpacker magazine. Since the materials are all natural, the wool can be left behind in the wilderness when the soap is gone.

I've seen felted soaps before but never tried them, or tried to make them. Yours are adorable, Roxanne. And yours, Charlotte!
