I know I read it here somewhere but can't seem to find it....where can the head ball joint mechanisms be purchased? the ones that give the heads endless tilts?

Does it come with an instruction on how to attach it to the bears head?? Sorry, if its a stupid question - but I can't see how its attached/how it works?  bear_sad

Krista, I have been hanging out at this site. Reading up on  armatures and  clays 'n stuff. You may find it suitable and give you your answer or it may not. I do know that I did read on there and saw in one of the stop motion shops 'ball joints'.

I hope it helps.

Hi I am new to tt and am looking for any advice on double neck joints. I have found a swivel neck joint on Christies web site but can't find anything about double neck joints. I would like to have a head that tilts in lots of different positions too. Any advice would be welcome by myself and others reading up on joints tips and techniques. Thanking you in advance. Hi Sue, Thanks for that I am still a little confused but will have to tackle it step by step with a bear in front of me. I already have a new bear design half made with a wedge shaped neck, so will try and apply the instructions to that. Thanks again, and happy bear making. Chrissy.x

Hi Chrissy, welcome to TT! You don't by any chance have Nancy Tillberg's book 101 Bears to make do you? it is an awesome technical manual and explains double jointed necks very well...hopefully you can find the book, I still refer to mine for techniques, it is like the bear making bible!

Hi Krista, thanks for your welcome, and the book suggestion, I will certainly try and source one. Your designs are beautiful and if you refer to it that's all the endorsement needed. Good luck with your neck joint problem and sorry it has taken me so long to reply I have only just got the message, still a novice for checking in and get easily distracted with all that is going on in the site.
