Oh Shantell, dont feel this way, your bears are darling.

Everyone goes through it, well I think most people anyhow. I do!  Sometimes you need a break, and come back to it with fresh eyes.

We all love your work - just stick with it!

I know exactly how you feel, Shantell. I stood at that fair on Saturday with what I believe are the best bears I've ever made...opposite the Boyds stand...Ha!! That made me so miserable because people were oohing and aahing over these things and here am I selling bears that are the result of tears, sore fingers, an aching heart...filled with sometimes pride, sometimes feelings of rejection...hours upon hours of discussion and argument..financial investment...loss of sleep...you name it. And people just walk past.

I doesn't help when the person on the next table says that 'It was c**p here last year' as soon as you walk in!! Thanks a bunch!!

My little eBay bear's outfit was inspired by a Mabel Lucie Attwell drawing...well the outfit was anyway...and I am finding lots of ideas in those areas.  Being inspired is one thing...staying inspired is hard. Snapping out of the doldrums is hard too...but I force myself now..otherwise I'd be grumpy.

i am a great believer that sometimes when you NEED something its there if you  look for it!  like your email re affirming how cute your bears are! i was thinking one day i'll never have a shop way out here in the boonies and no space in the house etc,,and we stopped at a lawn sale in hootersvile,,,and this wonderful older lady showed us her shop in what was a storage shed ( or industrial crates?)  with charming small antiques and home made potpourri from her garden,,paintings she had done..i was enchanted with the place! would somebody please look at my website update and offer an opinion?  anybody have any ideas on how to increase sales on our own persoanl sites?   deb

Shantell, I can relate to this topic as well, just hang in there girl, your work is great..

Just keep trying different things, maybe even a workshop, its amazing what things you will try out that you would normally not do, especially when you are encourage by others too.

Just don't give up.  bear_happy

Deb. Checked out your website. I love the idea!! I wish I lived closer so I could be part of it to.
I love the colors and design. But found it a bit confusing at to what the site was all about. I would like to see pictures of the store, and maybe a different way to link to the different pages. I'm no expert though, just my honest opinion. Nice site, but a little confusing.
PM if you need more clarification.

Thanks...this is such a great place to come for a pick me up...ego boost...whatever you want to call it.

It's so great there isn't a party pooper in the mix...which is so unusual.
