Its been a bit of a crying and emotional day as my niece 's two dogs and 2 cats arrived. Only animal lovers I think can relate to this.
When my niece Jenny made the decision to go and live in OZ, both my sister and myself were horrified as we could not bear to think of their animals. Jenny was not leaving them behind so they had to go into quarantine, 6 months in South Africa and one month when they reached OZ.
During this whole period every time I thought about it I got emotional, however I am pleased to say that they arrived all well and in good condition.
Jenny is over the moon- all these animals have been strays that she has collected, now very expensive strays.
My sister was watching the arrival via Skype and called me all emotional to share the news.
Phew what a relief that it all went well for the dogs and cats.

that is wonderful news so glad they are all together again, that would have been very HARD to do!
So glad your sister has her babies back safely. I can imagine how anxious she must have been.
I know exactly how you feel Lynette. It is most definitely wonderful news to share
Lynette: that is such good news. I could not bear to be without my pets. So I am happy to hear of the happy reunion.
Lynette I am so glad to hear the news! That is a hard thing to do.
Wonderful news !!
This is what Jenny sent to me via skype
yesterday was a HUGE day! as you heard, my babies arrived. i am glad you shared the oohs and aahs!!! after a very very very long and exhausing journey, 4 flights and a 3 hour journey by car, they were delivered to our door last night!!! oh wow!! what a welcome!!! they all immediately recognised us and there were tears and wagging tails and kisses and more tears,a n laughter.... it wasnt long before they were completely relaxed and playing together, lounging over the furniture.... the cats and dogs were fantastic- they met for the first time afetr 7 months and it was just LOVE!!!!! we have just woken up and its sunday morning! i had the dogs and cats sleeping ON me all night. so uncomfortable, but they were in heaven!!!! the dogs kept sighing and moaning in their sleep with blissful grunts and sighs... i have had such a lovely morning with them
Makes me feel a bit better if ever we had to leave the country and have to put our dogs into quarantine. As you can see we are all animal crazy and they are just not our pets but our kids as well.

That's great news.............it must have been an awful long strain for pets and owners, but it's all over...........
I just love the "picture" of EVERYONE on the bed together - happy and relaxed at last!

I just can't understand why animals that are obviously loved and cared for and whose vaccinations etc are all up to date have to be quarantined for so long- how archaic!!!! I am so glad all of you are now re-united but it must have been really, really difficult for you.

Oh dear! 7 months!!!!
That so incredibly long!!!!
I think waiting so long far from my kitty would drive me nuts.
I am so happy for your niece.
What a pleasure to know they are altogether and happy again!
Thanks for sharing your happiness with us.
Beary hugs,
Sophie.
I've had to go through the quarantine waits with Blossom, so I know all too well the hand holding and babysitting that goes on....and that was just them babysitting me !!! Blossom was a doddle compared to her neurotic mum.
I'm so so happy they've all arrived safe and sound, and are blissfully together once more.
