I had the best FUN yesterday - visited the Teddybar Welt show in Wiesbaden...........and NONE of the exhibitors had seen the magazine..............I felt like a fairy godmother, being able to tell friends that they had been nominated.............LOTS of happy dancing!  :dance:  :dance:  :dance: And for me, it was just as exciting as hearing about my nomination.........

Maria, coming so quickly on the heels of Weisbaden (the night before you announced), I was certainly confused!
It hit me yesterday that GGs are for TT in (the new location...).
It's easy to fool or confuse some elderly!!!

Is there a major comp associated Weisbaden?

BOBBIE - yes - the Golden George comp is part of the Teddybar Total show, which has now moved to Rheda, a bit south of Munster - will be new for all of us. You can read about it on the www.teddybaertotal.de website - and they should be posting all the nominated bears soon.........
Wiesbaden is home of the Teddybar Welt show, with the Ted Worldwide comp - a HUGE affair - the comp is divided into three sections - Hobbyist, Artist and Master (which incorporates manufactured bears) - so with over 30 categories, it is twice the size of the GG............but for me, the Golden George is THE one - winning last year was amazing, and I am SO proud of my teddy "Oscar"!

Thank you everyone for the Congratulations, and thank you also for the caring words I received privat...   everything looks a little brighter now, but stil a long way to go for my sister in law, who got paralysed half ways, from one moment to another, doing a blood cloth in the spine.

This is Marina, nominated for a Golden George. Marina is also nominated for GT and won a TOBY Industry Choice Award !!

Climbing Bear won 2nd place last weekend in Wiesbaden. I was very pleased to see that the Jury points were good for a first place. To receive the award is decided by public votes, and not by jury though. Still, I am verry happy with the result.

Maria, I aplied for the gala/award evening and see you again soon!!
