Hi Melissa
I've only recently ventured into the faux fur world, and I have been buying from Honeysuckle Furs - Mo, the owner, has an ebay shop, and also has various pieces up for sale in the Bear-making supplies category. O.K. - shock horror! - the fur has a knitted backing, but it is pretty FIRM,and doesn't stretch much - I get by quite well with a bit of Fray check round the edges...........the fur is very realistic (russet bear is GORGEOUS - I want a coat for ME!) and I've done a couple of polars in the "white fox", which are on the "out of the comfort zone" challenge. My only problem with faux fur is that it plays merry hell with my contact lenses!
huggies

Hi Melissa...There is a good supplier of faux fur here in the UK - The Throw Company (www.fauxthrow.com) they will supply a selection of swatches on request - and I think sell by the half metre - hope this helps!!
