I'll go back to show planning and trying to get a few bears made before Saturday!
When I saw your answer above, I almost said, "Daphne, what are you doing on here? Get back to work!" But I realized I should chastize myself for the same thing! I don't have a show but I have had more orders than ever this year so far!
So what's my song, guys? It's a great song...
Oh... I LOVE this song! And the movie......
In Your Eyes - Peter gabriel
(By the way, this is Daphne's Evil Twin.... she's busy sewing!!!)
Someone else will have to come up with the next song.
Parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme
Remember me to one who lives there
He once was a true love of mine
A few singer have done this song.
Lynette.
Daphinia- (Daphne's evil twin) so pleased to see you are keeping the good twin in the work room.
Lynette
Lynette I love this song
Simon and Garfunkle Scarborough Fair
The morning sun when it's in your face really shows your age
But that don't worry me none in my eyes your everything
I laughed at all your jokes my love you didn't need to coax
(It's Daphinia again... that evil twin!)
Patsy, that's Maggie May - Rod Stewart
I've got one:
You, who are on the road must have a code that you can live by.
And so become yourself because the past is just a good bye.
I think that is Teach Your Children Well by Crosby Stills and Nash. There are only a few of us playing!
I am pleased to say that I have known all of the song except the Karen Carpenter one! I felt like a dummy with the other game when I knew none of the movie quotes.
OK. I have to put this one in here:
"I don't want to be your tiger, 'cause tigers play too rough.
I don't want to be your lion, 'cause lions ain't the kind you'll love enough!"
I want to be your teddy bear- Elvis Presley.
mm to think of one now- supper is about to burn must run
Lynette
Lynette where did you go!!!! its been along dinner

A new one a few artists have done this one
When you were a young boy
Did you have a puppy
That always followed you around
Well I'm gonna be as faithful as that puppy
No I'll never let you down
Lynette
River Deep Mountain High ... Ike and Tina Turner
When your weary, feeling small
When tears are in your eyes, I will dry them all
I'm on your side when times get rough
Ohh! I know this one!
Bridge over troubled water
Simon and Garfunkel
Here's one
Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my '60 Chevy
Workin' on mysteries without any clues
Night Moves--Bob Seager!
"Its a cool place, and they say it gets colder,
you're bundled up now, wait til you get older"
Hi Tami
I think that's Smashmouth - 'All Star'.
Try this one:
there's some things in this world
you just can't change
some things you can't see
until it gets too late
Marg
"Bright Lights" by Matchbox Twenty!
Thanks Connie!! I could hear the whole song in my head but couldn't recall the band!!
Right you are Marg. Mine was Smashmouth.
Connie, you are up...give us a song.
OK, but you're gonna be sorry I joined in on this game!
This "song" is requested by my boys, including my 4 yr-old, every time I get in the car.
"Since OJ had Isotoners
Don't act like I never told you
Never told you"
Hint - I had to be selective with the lyrics I picked............
Did I ruin the game?
I should have picked a more mainstream song, I think. OK, here are a couple hints. Its a rap song and if you watch "Ellen" her dj plays it on a regular basis. Also, the singer got a lot of press for saying that George Bush hates black people at a Hurricane Katrina fundraiser. Any ideas?
(Tami - I'm hoping it's OK to play.... I've surpressed my evil twin, my show is over and I'm BAAAAAAACK!)
Connie - Please don't ask how I know this as it's not a "song" I'd normally listen to but that's Kayne West. The name of the song I'm not so sure about but perhaps I've got someone on the right track. As I don't know the whole answer to this one I won't post lyrics to another song.
Connie, we needed a challenge!! I finally have one I didn't know. I used to say I like all kinds of music except rap and country, but in the last few years I've developed a taste for country music too, so maybe someday I will like rap (or not!)
Daphne good for you knowing the artist--hopefully someone will know the song title!
OOOO! I know this one.
Stronger, faster, longer......A re-mix of Daft Punks.
Born down in a dead-mans town
The first kick I took is when I hit the ground.
End up like a dog thats been beat to much
Till you spend half your life just a coverin' up.
Yay! Roxanne, that's right! Stronger by Kanye West, and it IS a remix of Daft Punk's! Your turn!!!
Tami, I can't really say I'm a fan of rap but there have been a few that I thought were catchy, like this one. I also liked a lot of Eminem's stuff. He's kinda disappeared tho.
Roxanne's is "Born in the USA" by The Boss (Springstein) I saw her post earlier and have had it stuck in my head ever since.
OK, here's mine:
We're talking away
I don't know what I'm to say
I'll say it anyway
Take on me ???
this one- one of my fav to get my feet twitching
Oh it doesn't matter what you wear (ooohhh)
Just as long as you are there
So come on every guy grab a girl
Everywhere around the world
