Ellen
sorry we didnt get to say goodbye Ellen! we slept in sunday! was great to see you feeling so much better and pain free! Looking forard to
seeing you in maine! deb
What a super looking show Daphne! Sounds as though you all enjoyed it very much. Congrats on organising a successful show and thank you for sharing the pics with those of us who couldn't be there in person.
I was wondering where you were Deb.....I wanted to get home so I left as early as I could....should have left earlier, but I did sleep in until 7........
Yes, it felt good not having to worry about how I moved for fear of pain....it was nice just to be able to walk where I wanted, when I wanted.....my feet were sore by the end of the day, but that was it!
Ellen
The show and whole weekend was wonderful. The gallery was really a nice addition. It was great to be able to see the best of so many artists there all together. The slide show was my husband's idea and it worked out great for me. I was next to the demonstration booth so I was able to enjoy all of them. Everyone did such a great job. I had to fight the collector in me and not leave with more bears than I brought. Deb was kind enough to point out a cat in Kelly's booth that I decided I had to have. I thought about it most of the show and when I went to buy it it was gone. When we got back to the hotel my husband presented me with a bag with that grey kitty peeking out at me.
The hotel was very nice. The bed was comfortable and so were the pillows. The breakfast was great too. My husband and I had a chance to have dinner and catch up on things with Deb Travers and her husband. That was nice.
I hated to go back to work in the accounting office on Monday morning. Bears are so much more fun than crunching numbers.
Thanks, Daphne - I'm looking forward to Maine.

Nice pictures Daphne. Looks like you had a very successful show. I would love to come one of these years.
Congrats on another successful show!!! Yay you!
However, I wanted one of your dad's bag...so I shall pout until he makes more.
Dad's Bags, Bears & Bunnies will be available on Etsy very soon. I'm hoping to get our shop up by the end of the week! Stay tuned!!
What a beautiful place to have a show! So many lovely bears as well, thanks for sharing the pics Daphne- I wanna come to one of your shows- I love Maine!
I was scrolling through your pics when I recognised a collector/friend there with a big smile on her face, I bet she had a great time
Come on over, Karen! Application deadline for the Maine show is May 1!!! How neat that you saw someone you know!!!
Steve talking? Never!! Next year's show will be at the end of April.... less chance of snow then so I do hope you come!!! I hope Steve didn't get a complex because everyone was asking for you like his presence wasn't enough!! We're just not used to seeing one of you without the other! I know you guys have a very full schedule right now and I'm so glad he made the time to come!
PS If you look at the picture of Vicki Stephan (Raspbearies) and look just over HER left shoulder you'll see Steven and just under the letter "V" is Barbara Burke in a turquoise top! They really were there!!!
Too funny Daphne I never even noticed him in that picture or Barb , I was looking at Vicki's bears that's to funny and proof that he was there.
The show at the end of April next yr will likely work out great for us, hmmmm well we were thinking about doing something over sea's but we will have to see how the money situation is before we decide on going there.
I want to go just to sleep in one of those beds at the hotel , wonder if I could fit one in my suitcase haha
Keep up the great work Daphne.
hugs
Shane
 The beds are comfortable. But the pillows.... I'm bringing my own next time!!!
Yeah, I'd love to go do Hugglets but when I checked out airfare I decided it would have to wait until I won the lottery!
I am confused- Daphne do you do two shows ????Maine and this recent one- do you like chasing your tail off
Then again I see Delphinia is in the picture.
Lynette
Lynette - Yes, this show, which is normally the end of April and another show which is in July. I get a month off of planning in between! LOL! Then there is the bear artists retreat that I'm planning to start up in September 09. That'll be a huge event and I've already started working on it. So I'll have 3 events next year. I'm nuts!!!
Actually, I love this kind of stuff! It's like planning a wedding for 30-40 brides and grooms all on one day with a guest list in the hundreds!! Just as stressful, just as gratifying and over just as fast!
Ohhhhh I can't wait for that retreat Daphne, heehee.
Shane
now i liked the pilows so much we went shoping for some before we came home! that really is a lovely area to shop in. people i work with are in love with Conway..but we much prefer nashua and manchester area. will be glad when Vt finally gets a Target..but then i much prefer to GO somewhere to shop!! deb
Deb - too funny. We honeymooned in Freeport, ME at a beautiful inn and loved the mattress so much that we took all the bed clothing off to see the manuf tag and called right up and ordered us one
Thank you for the great photos, Daphne. Will try to get up to see the one in Maine.
Hugs,
Ellen
Daphne, a retreat sounds exciting. I would love to attend and have a chance to meet you and lots of other bear people.
Ellie - hope you can make it!
Marlys - I'll be posting here on TT once details are solidified. It's a huge undertaking as it will be a really exciting event at a "destination" type location (far from where I live!) with some fantastic artists giving workshops, some time for excusrions around the beautiful area (can't tell where just yet!) and lots of fun things planned. Most importantly it will indeed be a chance to meet artists we've never met, make new friends, relax, have fun and learn sooo much to inhance our artistry! I haven't had a chance to think about it for the past month while doing finaly prep for last weekend's show but now that I CAN think about it I"m getting so excited! Can ya tell! LOL!!
Great job Daph! Wow I can only imagine the work involved! Wonderful work Hun!
Hugs Louise
Daphne, your plans sound soooo exciting. Can't wait to hear more details. I would love to be able to attend the workshops. Sunds like I had better start saving now!
Thank you so much Daphne for sharing your wonderful photos with us and congratulations on all the shows you are doing!
Don't know how you find the time to do all that work - you must be one busy Girly.
Hugs
Carolyn
