I have running out in the street in my pyjamas and fluffy feet with the hose pipe, now I am wide awake. Our neighbors house was on fire- they are on holiday and my main concern was to get to the dogs. They are safe and sound but the car parked in the garage is half melted and we lucky it did not explode. Not sure what other damage has been caused.
The fire engine eventually arrived and they are now taking care of it all. They say it was an electrical fault in the automated garage doors.
Maybe now I can go back to bed and try getting to sleep once again.

Oooh, how scary! So glad their animals and you are safe.
Wow, what an adventure! So glad you were able to get the dogs out - bravo for you! Sad for the neighbors to come back home from vacation to a melted car.
Owwwww, Lynette that was very brave of you, in your jammies too! It was lucky that the car didn't explode. I'm so pleased that you neighbours pets and you are ok. What a thing to come home to after a nice holiday, lucky you were around.
Hugs, Jane.
YIKES Lynette, you are brave, thank goodness you were able to get to their dogs and that you were safe xx

Most suburbs now in South Africa have a community set up which keeps us posted as to the crime in the area and who to watch out for and reminders to take care.
This email was sent out by the guy who looks after our set up.
We had a house fire in Ruwenzori last night and thanks to the quick action of the neighbours who took risks to use their garden hoses and equipment to contain the fire and the Fire Brigade, who had a very quick response, the damage was limited to the out buildings
I did not sleep Monday night, tossed and turned and eventually got up at 3.00am and did work on my computer.
