Summer is coming!!! OK, so Spring has barely arrived here in New England USA but the days keep marching on and
Summer WILL be here! With it comes warm weather, bright sun and maybe a trip to the beach. Why not make it a
trip to Wells Beach, Maine and bring the bears along!? Come be an artist and important part of the 3rd Annual

Maine Teddy Bear & Soft Sculpture Show

You read correctly - the name got longer! New this year: Soft-sculpture artists who make such fiber treasures as
cloth dolls, thread bears, dragons, fairies and more. Not to worry, it will still be mainly a bear show, all items sold will be
handmade and the show will continue to offer only high quality creations. It's time to reach out to others in the fiber arts
community, invite them to join us and invite their collectors to join us as well. If you make dolls or other animals send a
picture along with your application and bear photos and plan to bring those creations to the show!

Also new this year: The Ornament Tree. Every participating artist is asked to make at least 3 ornaments to sell on
the tree. They can be for any occasion - think birthday, new baby, baseball, gardening! The ornaments aren't limited to
fiber - use any material you want! A portion of the sales from these ornaments will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.

We'll have an Ice Cream Social/Beach Party again this year the night before the show! Details will be sent to
participating artists as the show draws closer. (And all TTers will be invited too!)

The application deadline has been extended to May 15, 2008. I need your commitment by May 15 so I can
move forward with the rest of the plans for the show. If you have questions or concerns please don't hesitate to contact me.
