Hi everyone, I just received this email and was wondering if anyone has received the same or if anyone knows of this company in Japan?  I have tried to look them up on the internet but most is written in Japanese.

I used to deal with a Japanese company who seemed similar..selling through big department stores in Japan. They drove a hard bargain and put pressure on me for orders. They were extremely nice people though but I can't work like that..they wanted 50 bears a year or somewhere around that number....at BIG discounts. Made no sense for me to do it. It depends what  you want..It meant me selling half my annual production at this discount..and they made loads of money out of me.

While it's good for your ego to get these enquiries I can't say I jump up and down at the prospect these days...

But you need to make the ground rules..and you never know where it can lead!!

I had a similar one awhile back.  The Japanese rep was going to be in England and wanted to meet with me there.  Think they are probably legit, but I couldn't finance a trip abroad just to discuss business.  And as Jenny has said, I can't deal with the pressure/stress of supplying shops, either.

Hi Catherine..I was also approached by a Japanese company..but they wanted huge reductions and practically every bear I could make... which of course was not on!!! I was very flattered to be asked at the time, but knew I could never work to demand..it would have just killed all my creativity! So do think carefully....the only attractive part of it... was they invited me to Japan at their expense!!!!
