Technology is great, but not when it doesn't work .
Can you believe that since yesterday my card reader on the computer died, I washed my son's IPOD and it is now dead ( now drying in a dish of rice in hopes of reviving it),and last night my exepensive digital camera died- only shows a lovely error message on the screen. Apparently it will cost about $200 or more to fix plus shipping. Guess that is why my bear sold so fast yesterday........someone knew what my day was going to be like $$$$ Chching, chching
I know it is just 'stuff" and not worth stressing over, but yikes 3 in a row At least if bad things happen in 3's I should be ok now LOL
Oh Tammy, poor you! Maybe the stars are aligned wonkily ... I sympathise with you totally because I've just had a fairly irkesome kind of day too, although not machine related thankfully, so at least no $$$$'s to worry about.
It started with a trip into town in new shoes, in the rain ... yep, you guessed it, gave me blisters. I did my town stuff and thought I'd pop up to the wholesalers for some washers (yes, Marilyn, the chap did say hi! LOL!) and some berk in a white van wedged my little car in so tightly in the tiny car park,m I couldn't get out of my parking space, made a complete idiot of myself revving like a lunatic without a licence, as I nudged the car back and forth getting absolutely nowhere and then crunched my wing mirror on the rear of his horrible van. GRRRRR!!! When the guy realised his van was in danger from the fierce and flustered bear lady, he came out and moved it with a patronising look as if I was the one who had parked up against him, rather than the other way round! Just to top things off, a storm broke out overhead on the way home, hailstones, thunder, lightening, torrential rain, the works and an enormous lorry completely overlooked me trundling peacefully along on the motorway, pulled over without indicating and nearly squished my little car!
I was going to work on my vintage bear's head this afternoon, but after the past couple of hours all I'm fit for is a cup of coffee, Van Morrison on the stereo and a good book! My bear will have to remain headless until tomorrow!
I think yesterday was an 'off' day all round then And I'll be grateful mine wasn't nearly as eventful as you two's. All I had was projects that kept getting stymied. I can live with that.
Tammy  That's it for the threes! Good thing you've sold a bear to help cover those expenses Makes me grateful the only thing my mom kept destroying in the wash was my library card all those years ago.
Paula....I'm afraid your experiences are exactly why we tend to drive a larger truck when at all possible. We thoroughly enjoy our smaller car, especially for gas milage. But there are so many lorries on the road, and they cut people off all the time I'm surprised there aren't more fatalities with the driving we've seen. At least with a larger vehicle, there's a little bit of a chance that the lorries, and distracted people on cell phones might see us.
Oh Paula, tomorrow maybe you can laugh about it. But , sounds like a black cloud was following you ! Aren't you a fairly new driver too ? Or is that another TTer ? The picture you painted is great , I can see you trying to get out of that spot. Glad that you didn't get squished and made it home in one piece , blisters and all. Enjoy that book and coffee. I think I can hear Van Morris on th eother side of the Atlantic ;)
Oh and please do leave that bear head alone. I'd hate to see his expression once completed.
