A year or two ago, I showed some photos of a bluebird family living in this birdhouse.  It is now housing a Carolina wren family.  These are a few pics I shot today from inside my work room.

That's really great that you can sit in your workroom Sue Ann and see this wonderful family living happily in the bird house.  bear_thumb
I was watching some magpies in my garden this morning they were so funny jumping in and out of my pond, landing on the rocks and having a drink. Strange really as it's pouring with rain and there was much nicer water available in the fresh puddles.

What a sweet little bird - it's always fascinating to see birds from another part of the world - thanks, Sue Ann

Great to see your photos of the wren family living in your birdhouse Sue Ann  bear_flower

I have a pair of tuis in the tree out from my kitchen window and I must try to get some photos as they are so pretty
and sing a lovely tune.

Sue Ann,
Good photos! Wrens are so fast. I have a granite natural style bird bath I see from my studio window. Robins, Sparrows, even Crows take turns taking baths. Sometimes I swear there's a line waiting for a bath  bear_tongue The water in the bath has to be filled every morning. I thought it must be all the splashing, then over the next couple of days I spied each of my three cats going over, standing on tiptoe, and drinking the dirty birdbath water  I think the essence of bird is irresistible.

Sue Ann,
Thanks so much for the pictures - I always enjoy your nature pics.  Wrens are such cute little birds!

Karen,
I had to laugh at your "cat in the birdbath story".  We had a huge cat that was always stalking the neighbours bird bath and drinking from it - I never though of "essence of bird" theory  bear_grin !

                                  hugs,

                                  Brenda
