I am sorry if i offended anyone with my last message...i am new to this!!
I am looking for a pattern or kit for a panda! I want one with sad eyes...like the one in showcase by White Forest!!
I have looked at so many patterns and i dont know what is good or not so good so i opened up to the clan of bear lovers etc.
No one answered my blog so i am posting it again...
Please answer i just want to get it right and try my hand at different stuff until i find what i am happiest doing!!!
The bear i would like to make would be 15"-20" approx. with airbrushed eyes and muzzle and made with real fur...maybe.
Thanks to all
Kaz (Karen)
Hello Karen,
Have you looked at the patterns that Intercal has available? If you find the type of bear you want, you can easily make it a panda by using the two colors of fur. I'm not sure if that helps. I hope you find what you're looking for.
Hello! We are not offended by questions!
As Millie said intercal has many patterns to choose from and there are panda's among them and Edinburg Imports does as well.
Another option might be an online class. Nancy Tilburg teaches a class Petunia Panda at Ebearz Univerity http://www.kranbearys.com/EbearZ/index.htm
Millie also mentioned that you can make a pattern you already have into a panda style bear by using two colors of fabric and splitting the bodypattern in half (don't forget to add seam allowance where the parts will be sewn together top to bottom)
Erin and Jack of White Forest Bears make wonderfully expressive bears with advanced eye techniques which are uniquely their own. The eyes have needle felted details which is a form of sculpting with wool and thereforeyou won't find a "pattern" for doing eyes like those. This site does have info about needle felting though.
Hi Kaz:
In addition to what Millie and Chrissi said, check out our library. It's just about your post with a little guy waving trying to get your attention. It holds a wealth of information.
I also noticed that Paula has put out a challenge for a Panda.
Head for the 'Challenge' topic. Its a great way to make you panda while chatting to other panda makers. and get lots of advice while doing so.
All the best with your project Karen.
Wendy
 Thank you to all who replied...i found a wealth of knowledge in your responses..now to the hard part...choosing!!!
