After putting a ton of work into my 'Bearing All' blog over the past year or so, I'm now anxious to secure a back up copy, but can't for the life of me work out how to go about this.  I've tried reading the Google blogspot advice but I'm just not sufficiently au fait with the terminology to work things through for myself, without running the risk of losing the entire thing! bear_shocked   Would anyone have an idiot's ABC, layman speake guide they could share with me please?

Hopeful thanks! bear_flower

Got nothing here at all Paula, including the blog, which I made for myself. It looked good for a couple of hours then when I turned on my computer again I couldn't bring it up, what happened, well who knows. Boo hoo, so much work went into building it.  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry  bear_cry
Good luck!

All those blogs out there, all that hard work and not one of us knows how to create a back up copy?  Oh dear!  That's a worry!

Paula,
I just googled "backing up a blog" and a few sites came up with step by step how to's.  I've not tried any yet, but there seems to be some good info out there.  Good Luck and let us know if one works for you!!

Thanks Chrissi, I've taken another look but am still at a complete loss as to how to back up a copy of my blog to my computer, without running the risk of messing things up!  However, I did find this useful website which backs up for you!  They have a free account service which can be upgraded if preferred for a fairly reasonable fee and they are simple to use!  I've just set myself up with them ... I opted for the upgraded service so that I could have more storage space including having backups made of all my photos and it came to an additional £26.00 ($49.95) - they accept Paypal payments by the way.  The free service doesn't include picture back-up, but it does save your entire blog (and will send a copy to your computer if wished) in the right computerspeake so that it can be restored ... er, but you have to pay for the upgrade if you ever need to restore it of course! bear_tongue

Anyway, it might be helpful to other klutzes like me in Blogland!  Here's the link:
