This is 22" Hudson, a real beefcake bear! He's coming to Hugglets with me on September 14th. Hudson is made from a fabulous Schulte curly mohair, with velvet paw pads and inner ears. He has a shaded muzzle and glossy nose ... looks just like he's had it in the honey pot doesn't it?! :P

It's always so pleasing to hear the more traditionally styled bears can still be heartbreakers in these fast moving days of bear design! Thanks everyone! 
I am really enjoying the fact that I now have two very large, traditionally styled growling bears peering down at me from my workroom shelves ... and if anyone tells me I am stark staring mad making such luxurious bears for a show, I probably won't disagree in our current economic climate ... raving bonkers in fact ... but hey ho, there you go ... my needs must!

Thanks guys! I really enjoy making big bears and at the moment, I am enjoying a bit of a 'big bear revival' in my attempt to recapture some of the endearing qualities in my earlier big 'uns ... call it taking a step backwards if you like!
