Hi,

Any of you needle felters know how I can needle felt into mohair?  I would like to attach some accessories to my latest mohair bear (I have already needle felted the pieces).  I presume I need to have some looser wool  on the piece and then stab this into the mohair? bear_shocked  Sounds painful for my poor bear !

Thanks,
Catherine

bear_original I'm glad you asked this question, Catherine.

If I want a bear to have longer fur needlefelted into its head as in a mane or ruff, how much of the longer fur has to end up within the bear for a firm hold??

Judi's your expert I think.  Check the Needlefelting board.  I think I've read a little on this there.  bear_thumb

Hi Catherine.  There is some talk about this in the Needle Felting area in TT.  You absolutely can needle felt onto mohair and what fun it is too!  Check out the Neddle Felting topics for more info.
