These bears are, er, slightly different to the ones usually found on here I think but I hope you like them! The patterns I make are made to look as much like the original period patterns as possible and they are all handsewn. I don't use synthetic fabrics or cotton if it is not period correct.
This C15th one is wearing a silk taffeta kirtle (underdress) lined in handkerchief silk. It's worn over a linen smock. When it's finished, her linen lined silk gown will go over the top!
And you can see her 'undies' here (smock and woollen hose)
This her 'hubby', wearing over his linen shirt a linen lined velvet doublet (unfinished..) and part lined woollen joined hose. The doublet will be buttoned up the front with small pewter buttons, and his silk pleated gown will fasten over it.
And... the first commissioned bear I made, a C10th Saxon bear. She wears an unlined woollen gown over a linen underdress, and a 'Coppergate' cap with a wimple over it, both in linen.
