For artists and collectors sponsored by Intercal...your mohair supplier and Johnna's Mohair Store
Here is Baby Nym, an little elf-bear made for a good friend who loves "lutins" and "farfadets".
He is made with a wonderful Hembold mohair from Intercal : Quality 380S - Color 535S-Sage.
He stands at 25 cm, has green cotton embrodered nose and smilling mouth, german black glass eyes and a filling composed of excelsior woodwool, polyester and small mineral pellets.
His pawpads and the front of his ears are made of micro-velour, which is quite new for me as I must say I used to work exclusively with wool felt... But micro-velour is so soft !
I plan to make more little critters like him as it was very fun and because I fell in love with those ears ^^.
Mmm... I have a little question : does this little guy counts as a "bear" or as a "friend" ? I hope he is a bear...
HE'S WONDERFUL MARION
I adore his face, will he be for sale ?
This is such a charming idea Marion, i would never have thought of making a bear with elf ears.
Congratulations
Penny
In fact, Laure Weltsch made an elf bear first ! :
I hope I do not steal her idea. My friend wanted so much an "ours-lutin" :).
Do you think I should ask her if I can make elf-bears for selling ? I had no problem for this one as it was a gift, but I do not want to be rude or something...
I'm happy little Nym pleases you :).
Marion your bears are just wonderfull
Vraiment mignon Marion Your friend is a lucky one
Thanks a lot, girls !
Very Cute & Very Unique
Marion, Nym is adorable and I would also describe him as an elf-bear!! Those ears are soooooo cute and he has the most wonderful expression! Your friend is, indeed, lucky!!
Yes, Elf Bear is perfect!
What a cutie - congrats!

He is adorable!! He looks so happy!
Sooo cute. I'm in love!
Not sure if you're being rude at all. Artists draw inspiration from eachother all the time. Plus, the two bears look very different.

Thanks so much dear friends, it cheers me a lot .
(PS : I've added links to your website, Fran, to your email, Sandy and to your pictures page, Heather .)
Wow Marion lots of great personality there, well done.
Marion ~ Bear or friend, either way he made me giggle right out loud. I love him. You surely didn't "steal" anything by doing an elf. I've seen pics of them before, and I'm noodling one for St. Patrick's Day.
Good job.
