Back Road BearsDid I miss something.... a post from admin about the fact that the photos we put in our posts don't show up anymore... just a link to the 'image'.
Why? Or did I click on something in my profile ... some option so the photos won't show?
Could someone explain? Pweeze? :rolleyes:
Edited to add that I see the banners OK. Its just photos in posts. I don't get it.

DoodlebearsWell Daphne it worked so I can't see what you mean. I hope you can sort out your problem, we need pickies and loads of them, that's one huge thing that makes this forum as wonderful as it is.

It all depends on where you got your photo from. At times photobucket insists on linking photos. Which is so annoying. At other times it will let a photo sit on here in display....go figure?
I have worked around that by saving it all to file and then downloading it into my posts..

This is what I see... instead of an actual picture I see <image> and have to click on it to bring up the photo in a new window.
I have NOT played with any settings. Hubby did however install the latest version of our anti-virus software but this is the ONLY place I have an issue with photos. I don't understand.
Back Road BearsOK, as you can see in my photo above (which i can see now too!!!) I was not loosing it!
However, this is an option in our profile set ups under 'Display' where you can select whether images appear in posts or not.
I assure you I did NOT go in there and change settings... I didn't even know the option was there as I haven't looked there since I joined here years ago! Anyway, I do NOT know why the settings changed - a couple other options had been deselected too like whether or not a user's signature appears and whether or not smileys show up.
The bears must have been playing on my laptop while I was at work!!!
