Happy New Year, Maria, and everyone else, too. We always stay in on this night. When the kids were little, we didn't want to leave them with a sitter and then as they grew, we just wanted to stay in. Our dogs have always been frightened of the noise, too.

I have a cold myself. I'm out of kleenex and using tons of TP! I have one very sore nose! bear_wacko
People have already been lighting off fireworks at 10:30 by my house. My poor dogs are NOT happy. Sienna my Leonberger is especially unhappy and she slunk down to the basement after trying to climb in my lap.

and many thanks for your concern.......... seems there is a lot of flu around - and I happen to be one of those people who act as a virus magnet.....anything going, and I get it! Same thing with mosquitos.....nice for Jeremy!
BETH - I can empathise with the Leonberger on the lap - not exactly painless, is it? At least ours (Nounours) isn't bothered at all by fireworks!
