my little female cat just killed two that size, they were dead on the paving outside the house....just hope she doesn't go after anything bigger.

When the young copperhead slithered into our house via the cat door, two of my four felines had it cornered, but didn't get close enough to "shake hands". Although they were big and brave with much smaller snakes and lizards, think they were a bit intimidated by reptiles of a certain size.
