I bought some 4mm wooden beads yesterday, for deco purposes........made in Germany, from a well-known brand..................and when i got home I noticed on the reverse of the label - "speichelfest" - which means resistant to saliva!!! WHY???????? Am I missing something here?

Ahm, well, I' been using wooden beeds for years for several purposes and that "speichelfest" has always been on the label, but I don't know why?
Hi Natascha
well - at least I'm not going mad (matter of opinion, I suppose?).............but it did strike me as strange! Hey ho.......what would I know?
BTW, will you be at the Blummel's Barentreffentag next month? and if so, DO bring your gorgeous snow leopard!

I just tried to find something on Google, but there was noting about a law, just that "speichelfest" means you can't lick off the paint So, if you are a paint-eating-junkie you bought the wrong beeds
And yes, I will be exhibiting at Blummel's. But I'm not sure if I will bring my snow leopard, as I booked only half a table (1m) and Charikar is bigger than that! Not to forget, that I don't want to sell him.
Goodie - see you there..............and I promise not to lick any beads (STILL think it's strange!)
