Yesterday I decided to start a little sale on my website.

I was wondering what you thought of sales, are they something that happens in the bear world??

When does a sale stop? How much do you sale by?

I thought I would clear the deck for the new year and I must admit I am addicted to the feeling that someone wants to a buy a bear made by me  bear_whistle

Thoughts and advice would be appreciated bear_thumb

Why not. I've listed a bear on ebay that did'nt sell before christmas, I've reduced it. Well its a bit of an annoying one as it did sell, the person never bothered to contact me until I contacted them weeks later, non payment, even if there were good reasons. I could have sold it if they had let me know earlier. So.....thats off my chest  bear_rolleyes I've put it back on cheaper. So, I'll not get as much as before, but it pays for ebay fees and new fabric. New fabric that has been made into new bears, that have sold for a good price. Its all for the good in the end.

I've sold bears for prices that probably just cover cost, not time, but it all gets you out there, things moving on. Its really a personal thing, if you are starting out, you've no customers to annoy by reducing prices, just new collectors to sell to! Each to their own, but I think its a good idea.

I've seen a few sales on bears over the past few weeks, so why not Sue  bear_thumb   You could keep it short like a two week offer only, ending at the end of January.

Hi Amanda and Ali, yes fabric I want I want but me no money

Great idea to keep it short and sweet, I like that, makes it definite  bear_thumb

Amanda, totally agree, keep moving, I don't want a website that ends up with a few bears on it that are old and my website becomes jaded  bear_cry

Website

It's a good idea Sue, I did free shipping last January and it worked, some got homes immediately.  I sometimes offer 15% off to mailing list people as a thank you too, but just for a month.  It's great to get a nice new supply of mohair now and then isn't it
