Hi Girls, I love this little poem and I think at sometime or another we all have felt like quitting, Read On.
Don,t Quit
When things go wrong as they sometimes will
When the road your trudging seems all uphill,
When the funds are low and the debts are high
And you want to smile, but you have to sigh,
When care is pressing you down a bit,
Rest if you must but don,t you quit.
Life is queer with its twists and turns,
As everyone of us sometimes learns.
And many a failure turns about,
When he might have won if he,d stuck it out,
Don,t give up though the pace be slow
You may succeed with another blow.
Success is a failure turned inside out,
The silver tint of the clouds of doubt,
And you can never tell how close you are
It may be near when it seems so far
So stick to the fight when your hardest hit,
Its when things seem worse that you must not quit.
Hugs Rita xxx

Yes, yes, thanks for sharing . . . we all can relate, I think! Wonderful!
My reply
when the s**t hits the fan
do what you can
to pick yourself up and go on
but if failing that
you're still getting c**p
chuck it all in
and get p****d!
hohohohoho

Great poem Rita. Thanks for sharing. I don't know anyone who couldn't use words of wisdom at some time or another.
Penny you are so funny! What part of the UK are you from? I was born in Derbyshire Spondon. My mom (mum) is from Liverpool and my dad, Melton Mowbray. We immigrated to the USA when I was 7 months old.
Hi Judi
I come from Islington, North London originally but have lived in Hertfordshire since i was about 10 years old. I live in a village just outside Hertford town which is where some of the US founding fathers came from. The town is often full of American tourists in the summer months - but i have to admit to a very sketchy knowledge of American history, so i can't tell you more about it - sorry:rolleyes:
Liverpool is a fabulous city - it's got a great nightlife - a truly wonderful football club (they recently became European Champions) and the people are soo friendly and welcoming. I've never been to Melton Mowbray but i have eaten TONS of Melton Mowbray pies - hence my fat tum!
Have you ever been to Britain Judi? apart from being born here i mean.
