Can anyone tell me where I can get Perle Cotton balls in No.5 in the UK?
I much prefer the balls as they don't get all twisted like the skeins and they do look 'nicer'!
I've sent myself loopy for a long while trying to find a supplier
I'd like to get a nice array of colours. There's nothing worse than getting a bear all ready for his nose to find you don't have the right shade thread!
All suggestions gratefully received!
Hugs, Sarah x
Hi Sarah,
I think that both Christie Bear Supplies and Bear Basics stock these!
I have a feeling too that C & H Fabrics shops stock this, but they seem to be getting rid of a lot of their useful cottons but if there is one near you, it might be worth trying.
Hope you find what you are looking for there!
Hugs
Marilyn
Hi Christie bears do black and some varigated shades
Bear basic do black and a couple of browns in the balls.
www.sewandso.co.uk do every colour under the sun but only the skeins.
Some nice colours here -

Maybe try your local Hobbycraft store if not.
Thank you Jaina and Marilyn
Unfortunately Bear Basics only do black and Christie Bears only do black in the balls and varigated.
I think I will have to get a grip and maybe get skeins and wind them onto some bobbins!
I will keep looking though!
Thank you for taking the time to help

Hi Sarah,
I have a shop near to me that sells most colours unfortunately they don’t do mail order, but if you let me know what colours you want I will have a look and find out how much they are and let you know.
Beary hugs Kerren
PS send me an email to remind me, thanks.
Hi Sarah, Willow Fabrics has a great online shop and deliver, they have an amazing range of perle cotton in every colour and size, if you google willow fabrics you will find them. I have ordered from them a few times and always have no probs, Lesley x
Sarah...look up Finca Perle Cotton...I get that for mine. There are a few sites that do it in the UK and it''s great. I use the No. 12 though.
Here's the one I use:
