Hi Everyone,
This is really strange.  I took a hiatus for years from making bears.  I think what happen is I had a melt down.  When I did the line for QVC (sculpted) and licensed my bears to Aurora I was going 200 miles an hour.  I know that I don't make them for the money.  Yes, money is nice. But we spend it and it is gone.  I am not a cloths shopper or like the norm.  But put me in Barnes and Noble or a craft store..etc. I am in my element and the bear money is out the door.  I think I love to buy supplies.  I should take a picture of my work room.  You would think the Wizard of Oz was filmed here during the tornado. I love to make the bears now. That extra special feeling when being able to play and not just rush, rush, rush....... I am working on a really time consuming piece right now.  I will let you know when it is done.  It feels so good to fall back in love with the bears. (not that I didn't love them- we just had a disagreement on the bear family output) I didn't sign another contract or do QVC.  I could have but it really isn't me. I am the type to shut the door and play away.  I noticed that it is a great diet..... I forget to eat.   
I keep babbling.  Here is my newest creation.  I just listed her on Ebay.  Let me know what you think.

What a sweet baby - I love her!  I also agree with your comments about working with licensing etc.    I did that once, and although it was basically a good learning experience, it sure takes the fun out of it!  Welcome back to the "joy of bearmaking!"

So nice that you are getting to slow down and "smell the bears"  so to speak.  This kind of work is so much nicer when you can take the time to play.
