DoodlebearsHi everyone, many of my family members have suffered various cancers, breast cancer being the most prominent and sadly we have lost many family members to this cruel disease. I know we are just a grain of sand within a huge desert of families suffering from this dreadful disease, but being a survivor myself, as is my husband, I was wondering if any of you would sponsor my daughter Sarah in the Race for Life. The Race for Life is to raise money for Cancer Research, this research is not to just benifit people in the UK, but worldwide. Sarah will be one of 3000 women who will walk, jog or run 5k to help raise the fundraising target of £214,000 for Cancer Research to help more people beat cancer. Unfortunately wheelchairs can not complete this course owing to the terrain, so I myself can not enter, that is why I am asking on behalf of my daughter Sarah.

Although no one in my large family has been touched by this type of cancer, I do not take it for granted. Just knowing the magnitude of loss from this dreaded disease is enough.

I can understand why you would have thought the race was to raise money for breast cancer research after me writing about it in the past, we do need to help in any way to fight this wickedly devastating illness, every penny counts.
