I love Parakeets!!  bear_wub
I had one when I was a kid and spent 10 months in a body cast!!  bear_sad
He was my best friend! bear_wub
I was unable to even sit up but I was able to train that bird.
He could talk and play games and even came when I called him.  bear_original
You did it again Tami!!! You're the best! bear_thumb
Thank you!

Such a lovely picture, parakeets can be great fun. We have had quite a few parakeets over the years and had one little guy who hated to come out of his cage. We would open the door for him and he would climb out onto the door and swing it closed again.  bear_grin

I had or still have a bone disease where the bone deteriorates from the marrow on out. It's called Osteomyelitis. Back in the 60's it was thought that the best way to control it was to immobilize the infected area and surgeries. So I was put in a body cast from just below my breast bone on down and including both legs.
My little parakeet kept me from losing my mind!!!
