I love it!  Shelli's Peaches the Seizure Bear!

And Eileens roving eyes bear......

how funny everyone's stories are!

Thank you- see our accidents have a great purpose- they make us laugh at ourselv es and with each other

Shelli I have seen your photo- you have beautiful eyes.....no evidence at al that a control freak lurks in there.....

Kathy, what a good idea....cat toys......mine like the tummys of the mini bears......I will catch them trowing the tumin the air and jumping around....and once the needle was still in it!  Yikes......I could just see one of the cats getting an eye poked.....and I do not know any kitty Ophthamalogists.....

Shelli I wish you could proof read my posts.....I am not very good in that department......

bear_grin  Sorry Shelli...can't go back and fix it now...we all know...cats out of the bag.

I too am a perfectionist (except when typing...my fingers just fly faster than my brain I guess).  I've been told I'm a control freak but I say NOT.  I am pretty hard on myself in terms of doing things right....critical to a fault.  I  pick apart everything that is wrong with something I've done rather than all the good things.  Hmmmm....perhaps I need therapy.

WAAAYYY back in the early days of bearing I decided to make a realistic grizzly...... BIG MISTAKE....he looks like the monkey out of the movie "every which way but loose" and my darlin boys call him Clyde.

An artist friend was trying to talk me into making a realistic and week after week she'd email me and drive me nuts asking me about it......until......I took Clyde to a show where I was sharing accommodation with her.....the look on her face was priceless.....after picking her face up off the floor she said "Oh Dear" and never mentioned it again.

Clyde sits on top of the TV in my workroom to remind me that I CAN"T MAKE REALISTICS......I think I stuff too round.....you know...my bears have round faces like me bear_grin bear_grin bear_grin

I always keep them and recycle them! I slash them, cut them, take them apart.......when I have taken a break from sewing, I pick up a reject and redo it! It helps me get going again, instead of starting cold. Some of my best bears and bunnies started out as hopeless cases!!! Extreme makeover is my kind of thing I guess! I never waste anything, in fact, the scraps I even use as stuffing. Pam

I had to jump in on this one.

I have to yet to have one causualty. I like all the bears I've made so far, even though I swore I wasn't going to finish some of them along the way. Even my aviator bear, I hated soo much. But now I love him.

So, I dont let myself not finish a bear, I'm always suprised what I've learned, and how much I like the bear. Besides, if things go really wrong, I can always needle felt a face.

Shelli, what I can say to you girl?? NOt much. LOL
