I'd like to share 'Bernard', my newest design, with you. He is 20" in height and a substantial bear. He's created in a wonderfully dense pale mushroom coloured mohair and I have given him contrasting wool felt paw pads and inner ears. Bernard has a twinkle in his hand painted eyes, which peep out from under little eyelids. He has an embroidered nose which I have waxed with pure beeswax. I had a lovely day in my conservatory knitting his waistcoat yesterday, so that he could be smartly dressed when I show him off today!
Bernard is a handsome fellow. I am very impressed with your knitting skills Paula, the design on his sweater is beautiful, and it fits him perfectly.

Hi Yvonne! Great to hear from you! Are you busy planning for Hugglets already, or like me, planning to have a last minute crisis instead?!!!
Thanks Elaine! This bear is quite a bit smaller than Horatio, but the fabric is a similar type, although different colour. It has a lovely contrasting backing, which gives a lovely effect when the muzzle is trimmed.
Paula this is a wonderful bear ......... what a perfect work
Hi Paula.....just back from holiday.....so must get a move on with the Hugglets bears.......you know me..I'm panicking already!!
Hugs Yvonne

Brenda, I think you're right ... he definitely has that expression!
My what expression in his face!

Wow Paula,
Another magnificent bear : how do yo do it ???
He looks very smart in his waistcoat and I adore the twinkle in his eyes (like my beloved Bellamy).
It's difficult to capture the beauty of his expression on photo; I'm sure he's even much more handsome "in the fur".
I wonder what you will have in store for us at Hugglets ...
Hugs,
Peter
He's very handsome Paula I adore your bears....I'm in awe of your skills making such big bears (so much bigger than 4" so far too daunting for me!)
Thanks everyone! It's really good to have such enthusiastic feedback!
Fingers crossed Bernard finds his new home soon!
